Webinar recording: decoding data standardisation and the golden thread for building product manufacturers

A joint webinar with Su Butcher, Just Practising Ltd

What's on the agenda?

Manufacturers and building product companies play a vital role in shaping a safer future for the industry. While they already contribute a significant amount of product information, there's an opportunity to enhance its impact by organising and sharing it more consistently. To help shed a light on the golden thread and data standardisation for building product manufacturers, we’ve teamed-up with the industry expert Su Butcher to discuss the topic in more detail and provide actionable insights.

Topics covered in the webinar include:

  • What is the golden thread?
  • Understanding the importance of the golden thread in specification
  • Cooperating under The Building Safety Act
  • Embracing standardised product information
  • What to consider when digitising your product information
  • The role that online product listing platforms play
  • Q&A

The golden thread is a phrase that building product manufacturers will have become very familiar with in recent years. But what does it mean, how can good golden thread information management be implemented, and what part does in play in the modern-day specification process?

This live online webinar with Su Butcher provided a walk-through of the golden thread, the importance and positive outcomes that it can bring within the industry and how building product manufacturers can embrace standardised production information through digitisation.
