Sustainable drainage design: maximising benefits from Brownfield and Greenfield sites
Watch webinar recording now
As the Government pledges to “get Britain building “, the pressure grows on the availability of land, lack of capacity in existing drainage networks, sustainability, and environmental impact.
Brownfield sites are often located in densely built-up areas where the receiving drainage system is under pressure. This also brings opportunity through introducing SuDS to reduce the impact on existing drainage networks.
While less compromised in layout design, greenfield sites can be even more problematic when they discharge into existing drainage networks as they introduce ‘new flow’ to the system.
This webinar will look at the challenges and agile solutions that can be deployed, including:
- Understanding site context
- Understanding flood risk and building resilience to a changing climate
- What are the key barriers and unlocking opportunities
- The importance of integrated site design and source control
- Key industry challenges and the place for SuDS.
