Webb Yates Engineers adopt Causeway Flow and SmartTools for seamless design workflow
Award-winning multi-disciplinary practice, Webb Yates Engineers, has switched to Causeway as their preferred drainage design ...
As climate change poses greater risks to our ecology, is it time for approving authorities to rethink drainage design submissions?
Research has shown that applying the latest advances in rainfall estimation and hydrological modeling significantly enhances industry practices and elevates design quality.
If you audit and review drainage design submissions—LLFA, council, SAB—and are looking to gain a better understanding of FEH22 as well as how to check for them, this webinar is for you.
Gianni is a researcher in the Hydrological Forecasting group at UKCEH, focused on the development of the Flood Estimation Handbook (FEH): an industry-standard set of methods for estimating rainfall and river flood frequency relationships that is in widespread operational use in the UK. He has expertise in rainfall-runoff modelling, statistical modelling of rainfall and flood flow rates and volumes, and experience in communicating results and recommendations to policy-making, academic and technical audiences.
Gianni works closely with other organisations to translate scientific advances in the Flood Estimation Handbook into software packages, services and guidance. In addition to this, he has extensive experience on nature-based solutions (NbS) and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), particularly green roofs, and has recently collaborated on development of a nature-based solutions and flow routing adaptation to a gridded rational method for peak flow estimation.
Netsanet Mebrate brings years of both academic and commercial experience within drainage design software. Having completed a PhD in Scientific Computation, Netsanet is involved in Flow's strategic roadmap, conducts both technical and market research, and builds the training and support capability for Causeway Flow.
